About Me
I have been blessed in my life to have been able to fulfill many of my dreams and personal passions. I have met many interesting people, had the chance to reconnect with old friends, and had some interesting and exciting life and professional experiences. I currently work for Premiere University and am thankful every day for the opportunity.
I enjoy traveling to places I have never been and, of course, returning to those I have been and enjoyed. I have been to 49 States, with one more to go! Alaska is last on my list. I hope to make it to the Tropics and England someday soon as well. I have lived in several states, including CA(x2), OR(x2), CO(x2), TN, KS, & TX.
Another passion is Photography. Photography challenges me to capture the uniqueness of a moment. When I combine my passions, it makes for a win-win, and I have proof with a photograph or image to remember. The pictures above are all captured by me (unless I am in them ; )
I love music. Music was taught to me early on in life. My dad was a music teacher who taught me to sing and play several instruments. Although I rarely sing in public anymore, I can still rock out behind the wheel with the radio. I enjoy most types of music and have a never-ending concert bucket list.
Hockey Baseball and Football have always been my go-to sports. I follow several hockey teams and have been a Dodger Fan since I was five. I do enjoy watching several college football teams including USC, Oregon and now local Texas Teams. Football is certainly alive and well in Texas!
I enjoy helping others. Before and during the Bosnia and the Iraq wars, I created and managed an online volunteer organization and website (Homefront HQ) where we challenged Americans of all ages to support those serving in the military. This twelve-year project helped launch my web career and helped me learn a lot about the web world and working with people. I often was asked why I did it not being directly affiliated with the military. It was simple. I was motivated out of respect for what they do for the rest of us and wanted to give back. We started our support before it got wildly popular. We learned many service members and veterans never were properly thanked for the sacrifices they made. Homefront HQ was a fun challenge that taught me many life lessons and showed me there are no limits to helping others; you just have to be creative and willing to step up, lead, and make it all happen! If you Served! Thanks! : )
